ATTENTION! For the best experience please start the game at least 2 and a half hours before sunset.
Based on the location data provided by your smartphone / tablet camera and GPS receiver, the image “seen” by the camera is labeled with some specific data to buildings, sculptures, and other landmarks, thus displaying new, non-existent elements on the site; historical photo, video, 360° panorama, 3D object.
The result is a special mobile application that can be used independently of the age group and can serve as an alternative sightseeing tour or as an outdoor indoor detective mobile game depending on the content we provide.
But then let’s see what happened in Buda Castle those days:
Empress of the Monarchy, the Queen Consort of Hungary and the Czech Republic wants a Hungarian child and insists to give birth to her offspring here in the Buda Castle at all costs …
This aroused resentment in many. But can you guess why? Because if a boy child were to be born, he would have become the heir to the Hungarian throne!
Afew months after the Austro-Hungarian Compromise, on June 8th, 1867, the imperial couple was crowned; Franz Joseph the King and Sissi – Elisabeth Amalie Eugenie von Wittelsbach – as the Queen of Hungary. What a ceremony it was!
Soon after Sissi became pregnant again.
Meanwhile, dark forces were moving in the background. Their goal was twofold: to prevent the little prince from being born into this world, or if that fails, to assassinate the beloved Queen of the Hungarians.

Since data traffic is low during the play, don’t turn off your mobile data connection, because that’s how we see your progress and we can help you more easily if needed, and so you’ll be able to continue playing on another device if your battery runs out.

This was a fun game that three of us played using my phone (which was a bit small for the purpose - I suggest taking a tablet). With a strong historical focus, the fictional narrative allowed us to explore the castle complex from one gate to another while spotting interesting elements we'd not have seen otherwise. The game and puzzle element added some fun, and while most quests were quite simple, some required a good level of thinking out of the box (use all the clues!). Overall, a good afternoon out - it took us 4 hours including additional exploration of the area and a short toilet & coffee break. In total we walked about 6000 steps and it wasn't strenuous at all. Definitely worth getting together with your friends and catching that scoundrel!
